It is commonly known that the Moon affects nature, so what’s the harm in taking advantage of the power of one phase, the full moon, to manifest what we want to have in our reality?

We saw what the moon is, what the moon represents and its symbolism. If you haven’t seen that article yet, I would encourage you to do so HERE as it gives you a perspective on how beneficial it is to have rituals according to the type of Moon we are experiencing.

This is what we are going to see now with the type of rituals you can use today and for a couple of weeks after the full Moon.

Why rituals during a New Moon and a Full Moon?

There are differences in the moon phases

It is quite natural to have different types of rituals according to the phase of the moon you are in.

New moon energies are ideal to start something, to plan a project, to make decisions, to initiate something. There is newness associated with the New Moon. Think of a clean slate: this is the energy of a New Moon.

Full Moon energies are at their peak. They have grown and expanded since the New Moon and energies have now reached a stage of completion. In a sense, we could say that now it is time to give birth to a new moon’s wishlist. For the remainder of the list that hasn’t progressed enough to your liking, it will be a great time to let go of things and emotions that can’t help you.

In practical terms, how are we affected by a Full Moon?

During the Full Moon, the Sun opposes the Moon so to speak, which can create miscommunication if we are not careful because emotions are naturally heightened.

If projects haven’t progressed as you wished for, you might feel frustrated and start questioning where you’ve gone wrong!

During the New Moon, you were hopeful, now you want results. Where are you at?

You will have guessed, now more than ever during the moon monthly cycle, you need to pay attention to your moods and your emotions as they are a direct consequence of your old thoughts and the completion (or not) of your projects or wishlist.

In terms of relationship, there could be some questioning happening if you are not ideally where you were hoping to be by now. As such, miscommunication may occur, as well as intense emotions.

In other words, rituals to keep you focused are beneficial to you right now to take a step back and review the status of your list in all areas of your life. Let’s have a look at 5 rituals.

5 rituals you can use during a Full Moon

There are many articles out there that are really great and give you examples of a more “magical” feel around rituals, using candles or herbs or incense. Although I do love them, because I don’t particularly use them, I have decided to share with you the methods I do use.

As always, for those of you who know me already, I tell you as it is: some methods work better for me than others and I explain this to you as well as giving you examples so that it makes sense to you.

#1 – The revision technique

What is this technique about:

It is simply the process by which you are going to see what you can tick off from the list you wrote during the New Moon.

The Objective:

It is to build confidence with what you have achieved and review what emotions and values you can now let go of so that you can achieve your list without much effort.

The trick here is to counteract those emotions; on a spiritual level, you need to let go of the intensity of those negative emotions since Full Moons are all about letting go of what does not serve our purpose any longer.

Process:

Take your list from the New Moon and see what you can tick off. Underline the rest and see how difficult you find the remaining of the milestones to be completed.

Then, see how this makes you feel.

Highlight any negative feelings you might have such as anger, frustration, doubts, resentment.

Those are fear-based emotions.

In order to get rid of those unwanted emotions, shift your focus to gratefulness.

You can ask yourself: What am I grateful for today? Do this for the next 10 days until you feel comfortable with this process and you don’t feel any resistance doing it. This should ease your tension.

Next, ask yourself: what is the potential of my wish?

I’ll give you an example: someone wanting to be taller is unlikely to be successful, and that, any Full Moon we look at!

However, someone wanting a specific relationship, or a specific job, or a specific house or whatever the case may be, it is possible, whatever your circumstances. As long as it is humanly possible, and as long as you have daydreamed of it, it is possible and it is achievable.

#2 – The Detox ritual

What is this technique about:

It is a technique that gets rid of any poisonous emotion or situations. It requires a mental shift. During a mental shift, your brain is going to require a maximum of energy to fuel that change.

The Objective:

It is to get rid of toxins and replace what’s leaving your body with healthy habits.

Process:

The process is the same for a body detox or mental detox.

For a body detox, start your day with hot water with half a lemon; throughout the day, you can make a special tea comprised of fresh peeled ginger, chamomile & lavender tea, lemon, and honey.

Full moons are ideal to lose weight. Personally, I have ballooned for the last week, so I have pre-prepared my special tea for tomorrow. As it is the summer period and it’s very hot, I prefer to have a home ice-tea.

For a mental detox, think of your biggest issue. I’ll assume you have written down: My relationship or My SP (Specific Person). List your feelings and your fears. Check any progress you might have overlooked. Now, progress for me is also a situation that hasn’t deteriorated! If you can say “This is not as bad as it was” or “at least, it hasn’t worsened”, consider it as being progress!

#3 – The pampering ritual

What is this technique about:

It is a technique to fuel your soul and body.

The Objective:

It is to avoid you depleting yourself of your energy since your emotions are heightened during a Full Moon. Now, this requests energy, especially if you happen to consider what you haven’t achieved yet. Your body is largely contributed and needs pampering. While you pamper yourself, you are giving a rest to your brain, it’s all good!

Process:

If you want to have clear skin, now is a good time (and for the next week or so) to prepare a natural face mask to get rid of dead cells and brighten up your pores.

One of those masks is the baking soda mask. You simply mix baking soda powder with some cool water and form a paste. Apply on your skin and leave it for 10 minutes during which you can drink some lemon water! Remove the mask and apply your day or night cream depending on when you do it.

#4 – The Abundance technique

What is this technique about:

It has to do with removing unwanted things, toxic people, unpleasant situations that block your access to abundance.

Now, when I refer to abundance, it is a personal thing. Maybe abundance for you relates to money for instance. However, I associate abundance with my lifestyle as in working at what I am passionate about.

The Objective:

It is to make you feel abundant and give you the conscious inner knowing that even though all your list can not be ticked off as yet, you can still experience an abundant type of life.

Process:

List everything you would ideally want to get rid of right now, that you feel are preventing you from achieving the feeling of being abundant. It can be, as mentioned above, people, situations, circumstances.

This is a 2-way process.

  • Look at your list and see the type of feeling you want to achieve. Ask yourself: how will I feel when I have those things? You might want to consider: peace of mind, relief, deep satisfaction, freedom.
  • Then, think about what already gives you this type of feeling in your life right now. You feel free when you swim in the ocean, for instance, that type of thing. So, when you next visualize or happen to think of your desires, try not to focus on the incompletion of it, but of what abundant type of feeling you already experience right now. This usually accelerates manifestation.

 

#5 – The love adjustment technique

What is this technique about:

This is a ritual for your love life. I get a lot of questions around this, so I thought it would be a good idea to share one of my love rituals with you.

The Objective:

It is a technique designed to make you feel loved and secure with positive emotions. It is for you to bridge the gap between feeling separate from your goal to connecting with it. It is a release type of exercise. It is the first step in the right direction.

Process:

I think you will have guessed by now that I wouldn’t do much without my lists! Actually, I have different journals that I love :-).

I will assume that you are in a relationship, but not at the stage you want to be in:

  • List all the characteristics you are not overjoyed with when it comes to your love
  • Then, write all the feelings you have in the situation.
  • Finally, look back at the start of your relationship and consider whether or not your love has already displayed the characteristics you desire them to display now. If not, your focus shouldn’t be on why they are not displaying those characteristics now, but what progress would make you happy to achieve your goal.

For instance, let’s say that your love has never said “I love you” and today, you have decided that this is not on at all and you need him to say “I love you” for the first time. How is the rest of the relationship? If overall it’s good, why focus on that detail? Take a step back as after the full moon, you will see things in a different light.

Bonus Full Moon hacks

We women can be especially affected by the full moon. In this video, you will learn hacks on how to harness the power of the full moon when you feel emotionally vulnerable. And especially with your menstrual cycle and period pain. I could have written a whole book on the topic because I did suffer from huge pain with my menstrual cycle for years. Summary

Rituals for the Full Moon are excellent to focus your attention on what really matters and check your progress.

Take a step back and don’t consider that an incomplete goal is necessarily a failure. Some goals require more time to come to fruition.

Your best course of action is to shift your focus on what you want to experience and ensure you see the positives and progress rather than the incompletion of things.

This is also an excellent time to discard what no longer serves you so that you can remain focused solely on your goals.

Your time is precious, don’t take it for granted but on the contrary, be effective by dwelling only on the positives. You will thank yourself for it later!
