Could your conscious affirmations block your manifestation? You mayt have heard that when you persist in affirming, you will manifest whatever you want. But after a while, lots of my manifestors come to me and ask me if their conscious affirmations block their manifestations. They don’t understand this lack of results.

Naturally, you expect a reward. And so, you start doubting the process. You wonder what the point is in affirming if you don’t manifest or worse, if you experience the exact opposite of what you want. So, could your conscious affirmations block your manifestations?

Why are you manifesting the opposite of what you want to experience?

The reason is that when you want something specific, your reticular activating system is on the lookout for your mental instructions. Typically, your instructions are your affirmations or your focused thoughts. In my case, because I am the obsessive type, the way I fixate on what I want. Therefore, my initial obsessive thoughts.

Say that you want to get a particular car. You have carefully researched the car of your dreams, therefore the image of that car is anchored in your brain. All of the sudden, you start seeing the car of your dreams everywhere. From that moment on, the way you react when you see “your” car with other drivers is worth paying attention to.

Similarly, the way you feel about maybe not having the budget for it will be important. As is the way you craft your affirmations. And the way you assess the difficulty of getting it. All the above will dictate how successful or not you will be in manifesting.

Now, I am taking a shortcut of course, but this is essentially what is going on in your fantastic brain.

Your affirmations are super important. They are not enough, but they have the benefit to go straight to the point. You can refer to them quickly and easily. But obviously, without a supportive story and effective inner conversations, well, let’s just say that this leaves too much time for your analytical brain to develop unsupportive thoughts and spiral down quickly.

After all, manifesting is simply the way you want something and make it happen by having supportive thoughts and feeling ok about your desires. In a nutshell, of course.

What can you do to stop delaying your manifestation with your affirmations?

The first block is when you use your circumstance within your affirmation. In other words, when you affirm the opposite of what you believe is your problem, this can backfire.

Why is that? Because when you perceive your circumstance to be the problem, it is risky to mention it in your affirmations, even if you formulate it in such a way that it shouldn’t be a problem anymore. For instance, if you believe that a lack of budget is your problem, affirming something like “despite not having money, somehow I will get my dream car”, this might not work.

The thing is, your brain will freeze at the notion of ‘not having money’ because it wants to protect you from any danger and disappointment.

Of course, if you are emotionally and mentally stable and you can’t easily be triggered, or, if triggered, not really bothered, not a problem whatsoever. If, however, you are easily triggered and have a tendency to spiral down, mentioning your circumstance is not your best course of action.

In the video below, I take the example of manifesting an SP or specific person and I give you a couple of solutions.
